The Process
Step 01
Share photos and details of your property, describe your vision, set a budget that works for you, and select the service that fits your needs.
Step 02
Work directly with Harris Baker, Founder, Chief Designer, and Project Manager. He'll learn how you use your space and what you like, then build a custom plan around your property and budget.
Step 03
Once you approve the design, ALG installs it on-site across the Birmingham area or hands you build-ready plans for your own contractor. Either way, we see it through.

For homeowners who want a professional plan: plant selection, layout, and a build-ready design.
The complete residential package: design, project management, installation, hardscaping coordination, and ongoing support.
Ongoing residential care: lawn maintenance, turf management, pruning, cleanups, and ADAI-licensed pest control.
Lawn Chemical Program
Pre-emergent in winter, fertilizer through the growing season, insect control in early summer, and a fall pre-emergent to keep cool-season weeds out. Every application is made under Harris's ADAI Ornamental Turf and Pest license.
First round of pre-emergent herbicide to stop crabgrass and other weeds before they start. Includes a post-emergent to clear weeds left over from fall.
Second round of pre-emergent extends the barrier from Application 1. A post-emergent knocks out stubborn cool-season weeds before they carry into the warm season.
Slow-release, high-nitrogen fertilizer to push growth as the warm season begins.
Our yearly lawn insecticide. Targets chinch bugs, white grubs, billbugs, and other pests that damage Alabama lawns.
Second round of fertilizer. Feeds the root system to keep turf healthy through summer and ready for fall.
Final round of fertilizer. A liquid application that holds green color longer and feeds the lawn heading into dormancy.
First fall pre-emergent. Prevents Poa annua and most other annual fall weeds.
Final fall pre-emergent. Extends the barrier from Application 7 to keep cool-season annual weeds out through winter.
